We want a city that refuses to invest in:

  • Nation-states engaged in illegal occupation, annexation, and apartheid
  • Weapons manufacturing and military technology systems
  • Private prisons and detention centers
  • Industries that are dangerous to human life and contribute to the destruction of our natural resources

We want a city that invests ethically and locally to uplift our communities!

We call on our local representatives to ensure that the City of Lansing has an ethical investment policy that achieves this, by adopting the Community Drafted Ethical Investment Clause endorsed by the organizations, businesses and individuals below.

1. Email the entire Charter Commission

You can send an email expressing your support for an ethical investment clause in our Lansing city charter to the entire charter commission by emailing [email protected]

3. Speak at the Charter Commission meeting

Prepare a statement of support to share with the charter commission during public comment at their public biweekly meetings Tuesdays @ 6:30 at City Hall.
